Abetifi (E/R), June 06, GNA- Ms. Roberta Essilfuah Koah, the Kwahu East District Director of the NCCE has called on Ghanaian youth to make use of Ghanaian values to grow with wisdom and good culture for good governance.
She mentioned values like humility, respect, honesty, nationalism, patriotism among others as they would help shape a better Ghana for all and entreated them to abide by it.
She said this when the Kwahu East Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), engaged basic school children at Abetifi in line with its annual Citizenship Week Celebration strategy organized periodically on the theme “Sustaining Our Democracy, Ghanaian Values in Practice”. The role of the child”.
They were also oriented to refrain from bad practices displayed in their vicinities and propagated on social media.
Ms. Koah and staff in their respective schools illustrated the benefits of practising good moral values that could help their personal development for them to be useful to their communities and the nation at large.
She therefore encouraged the students to resist against using them as weapons of violent extremism and defend the Constitution.
They were also encouraged to find creative ways to solve problems they encounter around them to help create a safe environment.
