Kpone (Near Tema), June 10, GNA – Assembly Members of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region have endorsed Mr. Joseph Kwesi Gbeze for the second time as the Presiding Member of the Municipal Assembly.
He polled 22 yes votes against six in an election conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Doris Emefa Agbezhulor, Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Elections Director.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the endorsement, Mr. Gbeze expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members, the Government Appointees, and the Municipal Chief Executive for the confidence reposed in him to continue to preside over the business of the assembly.
He assured the Assembly Members of his readiness to work with every member to ensure that development was brought to the doorsteps of the residents.
Mr. Gbeze stated that the Municipal Assembly would assist residents adding that the onus rested on the Assembly Members to render quality services to the residents within their various electoral areas.
The Presiding Member was sworn in by Mr. Festus Fovi Nukunu, Tema District Court Judge.
