Accra, June 21, GNA – Kotoku Royals striker Richard Dzikoe is relishing his outing in the next season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) as he targets to bang in the goals.
The 21-year-old striker scored 10 goals for Kotoku Royals to propel his side to qualify for the GPL for the first time in the club’s history.
According to the marksman, who has spent five seasons with Kotoku Royals, qualification for the league means a lot for the people of Kotokuman and they were poised to work hard to sustain their league status.
“The focus next season is to sustain my goal-scoring form in the Premier League. I would make sure I bang in the goals for my club because I believe in my goal-scoring abilities.
“Football fans would see a different player in me because this is the next level in my career and am relishing to capitalize on it to make a name for myself,” he told GNA Sports.
Dzikoe, who is the all-time top scorer for the club, added that his main focus was to improve his goal-scoring prowess because the GPL was much tougher.
“My target is to score more goals than I did in Division One last season, and hopefully I will have a successful outing in the league,” he said.
