Organised Labour partners with RCC to clean up Accra Central

Accra, April 25, GNA – Organised Labour is partnering with the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to embark on a massive clean-up exercise at the Central Business District, Accra on Friday, 29th April, 2022

The clean-up exercise is part of activities lined up to celebrate this year’s May Day on the theme: Protecting Jobs and Incomes in the era of Covid-19 Pandemic and beyond.

A statement signed by Mr Martin Kofi Boateng, Industrial Relations Officer, Greater Accra Region, of the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU), copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the clean up exercise is in support of the “Operation Clean your Frontage Campaign” launched by the Greater Accra Regional Minister.

This year’s May Day which falls on Sunday, 1st May, 2022, will be commemorated with a parade at the Black Star Square in Accra, while regional May Day parades will be held in the regional capitals

The statement urged Union Officers in the various organizations to participate in the clean-up exercise
