Moscow, April 5,(dpa/GNA) – The Kremlin has criticized the mass expulsions of Russian diplomats from European Union countries as “short-sighted.”
“Restricting the possibilities for diplomatic communication and diplomatic work under such unprecedentedly difficult and crisis-ridden conditions is a short-sighted step,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to the Interfax agency.
At the same time, he announced Russia would take countermeasures.
Dozens of Russian diplomats have been kicked out of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark and other EU countries this week.
