Frankfurt president suggests party at Buckingham Palace

Frankfurt, April 27, (dpa/GNA) – Eintracht Frankfurt president, Peter Fischer, has suggested his side’s famous travelling fans will hold a party outside Buckingham Palace, if they beat West Ham United in their Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday.

Frankfurt stunned Barcelona in the last round, not only by beating them, but by bringing 30,000 fans to the Nou Camp and making it like a home match.

Only 3,000 have got hold of official tickets at London’s Olympic Stadium, but Fischer sees no reason to stop the partying and feels their number will again swell.

“We’ll get it done. And we’ll be more than 3,000,” he told German media on Wednesday, mulling where to hold a post-match celebration.

“Why not in front of Buckingham Palace? There’s not much going on there at the moment.”

The return leg is on May 5 in Frankfurt.
