Russian, Ukrainian top diplomats in first meeting since war’s start

Antalya, Mar. 10, (dpa/GNA) – For the first time since the war began in Ukraine a fortnight ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, have begun direct negotiations.

The two foreign ministers are meeting in the Turkish resort of Antalya on Thursday.

Lavrov first met Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu, with Lavrov’s spokesperson Maria Zakharova publishing photos of this on the Telegram news channel.

Cavusoglu also met Kuleba bilaterally before the summit. Cavusoglu tweeted a photo of the delegations from both countries.
