Copenhagen, March 24, (dpa/GNA) – Swedish blogger Dagny Carlsson, who was billed as the oldest blogger in the world, has died at the age of 109, a director who documented her life told the SVT broadcaster on Thursday.
Åsa Blanck, who made the documentary “Life begins at 100” about Carlsson in 2017, said that while it wasn’t unusual for a person to die at almost 110 years of age, Carlsson’s death was a heavy loss nevertheless.
At the age of 99, Carlsson had taken a computer course before starting her own blog “Blogga med mig!” (Blog with me) aged 100. In it, she described her day-to-day life and inspired a loyal readership.
“I am a tough old lady who likes most things. That could be an opera, but also ordinary conversations about funny and difficult subjects,” she wrote, adding: “I like the funny stuff most of all.”
