Appiatse (WR), Feb.12, GNA – The Takoradi Central Church of Christ has donated foods and other Consumables to the surviving victims of the Appiatse Explosion.
The whole community had been ravaged by the Maxam company truck that carried explosives through the area on January 20 this year.
The Church led by Brother Kwabena Esiakwah said the donation was in fulfilment of the Christian mandate not to only pray for people in distress but also to show them affection.
He told Nana Atta Kwadwo Bremebi II, the Chief of Beppoh who received the donation noted that “As a church, we have prayed for you and our Leader, Bro. Dr Daniel Asiamah also wish to express his empathy by the donation”.
The Chief of Beppoh, Nana Atta Bremebi II, noted how Ghanaians continue to show kindness three weeks after the incident and prayed that such support would continue until his subjects were finally resettled.
He was grateful to the Church for the kind gesture adding, “when you go, tell Brother Asiamah that we are happy for the love shown us.
The donation included bags of beans, gari, maize, indormie, canned fish, toiletries, oils among others.
