Washington, Feb 13, (dpa/GNA) – US President, Joe Biden, wants to exchange views on the Ukraine conflict with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and other European leaders later on Friday.
EU Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, EU Council President Charles Michel, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Polish President Andrzej Duda, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are also expected to take part in the meeting, according to the White House.
The talks will focus on “shared concerns” about Russia’s continued military build-up on the Ukrainian border.
The goal is to exchange ideas on “coordinating diplomacy and deterrence,” the White House said.
