Akatsi (VR), Jan. 28, GNA – The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has commissioned a new office at Akatsi in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region to ensure easy access to its services in the region.
Mr Frank Davies, Board Chairman of the Authority, in his address during the commissioning ceremony, said customer satisfaction was a key focal area of DVLA activities.
“We cannot continue to do the same thing and expect different results and collectively as the Board, Management and Staff of the Authority, we can radicalise a change by offering our clients the best of attention and service. This, I know, would make them more fulfilled and loyal to road safety compliance,” he said.
Mr Kwasi Agyemang Busia, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, said the Akatsi office was the latest District Office.
He said the establishment of the office was in line with the Authority’s strategic plan to work tirelessly with District and Municipal Assemblies and individuals to find creative ways to bring services closer to the people.

“The DVLA has made this strategic choice to enhance the effectiveness and impact of its operations in the various communities. This will offer the surrounding communities and the people of Akatsi the opportunity to access the DVLA services without travelling far distances to Denu District and Ho for our services.”
He also said the Authority’s core mandate was to promote good driving standards and ensure the use of roadworthy vehicles.
For his part, Mr Kofitsey Martin Nyahe, the Municipal Chief Executive of Akatsi South, who read a speech on behalf Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, called on the security agencies to support the DVLA in enforcing the compliance of laws, regarding road-worthiness and other road safety rules and regulations.
