Christians urged to be obedient and truthful

Ada, Jan. 1, GNA— Elder John Amonortey Badu, the Presiding Elder of the Church of Pentecost, Madagber Assembly, Toflokpo District of the church, has advised Christians to be obedient and truthful to be successful in their Christian journey.

Speaking during the crossover watch night service in Ada, he said Christians were suffering because of their indulgence in worldly activities and love for material things, deviating from God’s Word and direction.

Elder Badu explained that prayer, forgiveness, love, truthfulness, tolerance, humility and service to humanity, among others, were key in one’s Christian life.

He said several Christians were going through tough times over the years and 2022 would be their year of restoration, blessing and success.

“Worship God with a pure heart and he will remember you in hard times,” he said.

Mr Sampson Tanihu, a member of the church, expressed excitement for entering into the New Year, adding that “2021 was very tough and heartbreaking.”

He expressed the hope the New Year would bring a greater change in his life and that of others.

The church service was full of prayers, praises and worship to enter into the New Year.

The members, especially the youth, showed their dancing prowess through vigorous and beautiful dancing skills to usher in the year 2022.

All the congregants, including children, adhered to the COVID-19 protocols.
