Woman found dead at Begoro

Begoro (E/R) Dec 28, GNA– A 55-year-old woman, Ms Gladys Agyeman, has died, following multiple cutlass wounds she sustained from unknown assailants at her house Begoro Zongo in the Eastern Region.

Ms Agyeman was found motionless in a pool of blood in her house and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Begoro District Hospital, where she was taken for medical treatment.

The Eastern Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ebenezer Tetteh, told the Ghana News Agency that the brother of the deceased, Keanu Aboagye, allegedly killed the sister.

He said the suspect, Aboagye, was currently on the run and that the police were making strenuous efforts to arrest him.

DSP Tetteh said two gentlemen, Ebenezer Adu and Kwateng Victor Ansah, reported the incident to the police when they found the deceased lying motionless in the pool of blood on December 27, 2021.

He said the body of the deceased was deposited at the Begoro Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
