Sekondi, Dec.10, GNA – The Sekondi–Takoradi Metropolitan office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has commenced research into the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) of citizens within the Cosmopolitan area on the COVID-19 vaccines.
Part of the research is to sample public opinion and to hold focus group discussions to help policy-makers to make informed decisions and to
find a lasting mitigation measure to the global pandemic.
Mr Lan Kwame Tugbenu, the Metropolitan NCCE officer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that since the first case was recorded in March 2019, many education and sensitization programmes had been undertaken to save lives.
He said the introduction of vaccines to curtail the spread of the pandemic should also be seen as a big success on the part of stakeholders in efforts to protect lives.
Despite the myth and misconception surrounding Covid-19 vaccines, the NCCE Director said public education was chalking success and more and more people were getting vaccinated.
However, the study on KAP would consolidate the gains and serve as an eye-opener to more avenues for success.
