NGO donates items to Teshie Children’s Home.

Accra, Dec. 11, GNA-The team for Growing Trees Network Ghana, an NGO, has presented food items and planting materials to the Teshie Children’s Home.

The items included; 15 crates of Tampico drinks, 10 bags of sachet water, Toilet rolls, biscuits, crayons, chocolates, pencils, pens, toffee, clothing, detergents, erasers and hand sanitizers.
The children were also presented each with T-shirts of the NGO.

The team was led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Christopher Boatin, who reminded the children that the depletion of forest trees in the world, resulted in the climate change where the temperature of the world had increased extensively.

He said trees reduced the temperature of the earth and enhanced frequent rainfall and pencils and clothes were products of trees.

He therefore encouraged the children to enjoy planting trees and assisted them to planting some seedlings like coconuts and mangoes within the compound of their premises.

The children were grateful to the visit of team and thanked the Team and the NGO and assured that they would continue to water the trees to grow and benefit them.
