Tamale, Dec 26, GNA— MTN Ghana Foundation has presented hampers to 19 babies born on Christmas day at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) to share in their joy.
Babies born on Christmas day in 11 other health facilities within the northern sector of the country also benefited from the donation.
The items in the hamper include blankets, towels, diapers, baby soap, washing powder, feeding bottle, pomade, sanitisers, face masks, detol antiseptic, and body moisturizer, among others.
Mr Kwami Aseye Akude, Northern Regional Branches Manager of MTN, who presented the hampers to mothers of the babies at the TTH on Sunday, said the contribution was to put smiles on the faces of mothers of the newborn babies and to share in their joy of the Christmas season.
Madam Adam Zenaib, a Senior Midwifery Officer at the Labour Ward at TTH, expressed gratitude to the MTN Ghana Foundation for the gifts, saying it had brought smiles to the faces of the mothers.
