Accra, Dec. 15, GNA – Gospel music duo Asamoah Williams and Adomako Michael popularly referred to as ‘Willie and Mike’ have donated books, provisions, foodstuffs, among others to the Kumasi Children’s Home.
The Gospel music duo have over the year’s served Ghanaians with some powerful song ministration and is among the top-performing gospel musicians in the country.
Presenting the items to the Children’s Home, Pastor Willie, an ordained Man of God, speaking on behalf of the group said remembering orphans as the festive season approaches was an important aspect of their faith, therefore, saw the need to donate these items.
“On behalf of our foundation (Willie & Mike Foundation), we have presented these items to the orphans in the Children’s Home so that they can also feel part of the upcoming festivities. The essence of Christianity is to remember the less privileged in society and we are very delighted in our hearts embarking on this donation.
“It is our fervent hope and desire that such a generous act would be emulated by the masses as well as other gospel musicians in this yuletide month.,” he said.
Madam Mabel Boamah, a Supervisor at the Children’s Home who received the items, was grateful to the gospel duo for their kind gesture and promised them that the items would be put to good use for the children in the orphanage.
She added that the items would make the children feel a sense of love society had for them as they yearn to have a better future.
