Accra, Dec 26, GNA— The Veterans Administration, Ghana (VAG) has called on Ghanaians to appreciate veterans for their sacrifices to the country.
Captain Ben Edmund Duah (Rtd), the Executive Director of VAG, said veterans made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation when they were young people so it was important for the citizens to show them that love and concern in their old age.
Capt Duah said this when the Veterans Administration donated hampers to ex-military officers on admission at the 37 Military Hospital, to appreciate and show love for their efforts.
In all, over 20 fellow veterans on admission in different wards were presented with hampers with assorted food items.
Capt. Duah, in his interaction with the Veterans, wished them speedy recovery.
He said the gesture, sought to extend a helping hand to the veterans on admission “so that they know we still care about them”.
He pledged that VAG would continue to support and appreciate its members for their sacrificial services to the nation.
Ex WOI Bright Segbefia, the Public Relations Officer, VAG, also appealed to veterans who were not members to join VAG to enable them enjoy full benefits of the Administration.
