Fanfare heralds opening of NPP National Delegates’ Conference

Kumasi, Dec. 19, GNA – It was all fanfare at the precincts of the Heroes Park, venue for the National Annual Delegates’ Conference for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday as delegates arrived.

Groups of brass band music performers spiced up the atmosphere with non-stop party tunes to welcome delegates to the conference grounds.

Also present were traditional Northern drummers who welcomed delegates from the northern part of the country with typical northern renditions.

They also showcased the rich culture of the North with scintillating dancing moves to the admiration of even non-northerners.

The arrival of notable aspirants for various positions often charged the atmosphere, as people trooped to catch a glimpse of them.

Although the main event was happening inside the Heroes Park, all the fun appeared to be outside the walls where thousands of party fanatics had gathered to have a feel of the conference.

About 6,000 delegates of the NPP from all the 16 regions have converged in Kumasi for the 2021 Annual Delegates’ Conference on the theme, “NPP, Our Resolve, Our Determination and Commitment to the Development of Ghana.”

The conference seeks to take stock of party activities over the year and also make amendments to portions of its constitution.
