Devoted Skies donates medical items to Buduatta Clinic

Gomoa Buduatta, Dec 20, GNA – Devoted Skies, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with focused on reducing healthcare disparity in underserved communities in Africa, has donated medical items to the Buduatta Community Clinic in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The items, including GHC70,000 worth of Ghanaian manufactured medicines and medical supplies such as test kits, syringe pumps, cannulas, and needles, plasters and disinfectants were presented to the Clinic at a short ceremony.

The items are to enhance healthcare delivery in Buduatta and the surrounding areas.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Funso Olufade, Founder of the NGO, said the gesture was to improve healthcare delivery in the community.

He indicated that the donation of the medical items was the beginning of a stronger partnership between his outfit and Buduatta, adding that they would adopt the Clinic and ensure that it was upgraded to provide special medical services to the people.

Mr Fobi Augustine, who received the items and spoke on behalf of Mr Felix Adipra Agyeman, the Director of the Clinic, expressed appreciation to the donors.
The traditional ruler of Bubuatta (Mankrado), Nana Osuan-Awusi III, also thanked the donors for the gesture.

Mr Desmond De-Graft Paitoo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa East, in a speech read on his behalf, pledged to work with the donors to enhance healthcare delivery in the district.

Mr Sersah-Johnson, a Communication Specialist and an indigene of Buduatta, led the team from the Devoted Skies through the community to identify other areas of support.

The team engaged the youth on healthy living.
