Captain One Gold Golf Society is a society made up of golfers and non-golfers with the sole aim of developing the game at the grassroots level.
It was founded by former Captain of Damang Golf Club, Mr. Pius Ayeh Appiah who is affectionately called ‘Captain 1’ by his peers.
Established in 2017, the society has organized charity events to raise funds to support two adopted orphanages in Tarkwa and Kumasi.
They are also training the orphans in the game of golf as a way to bridge the notion that golf is a game for the elite.
The fifth event would be held at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi on January 22.
