Be reformed by the birth of Jesus Christ—Apostle Antwi

Cape Coast, Dec 25, GNA— Christians have been urged to renew their personalities and reform from all negative behaviours as Jesus is celebrated.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi, the Cape Coast Area Head Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, said the mystery of the birth of Jesus Christ must compel his followers to serve him in truth and spirit.

He said before December 25 each year, people became preoccupied with Christmas preparations forgetting how and why the day was instituted.

He urged all to search for the true spirit of Christmas to lift their individual and collective spirits to reflect again on the celestial chorus: “Glory to God in the highest heaven and peace to all on earth who enjoy His favour”.

Additionally, Apostle Antwi indicated that the celebration of Christmas ought to raise certain standards for all in their quest to access how impactful they have been throughout the year.

“Let the remembrance of the birth of Christ, remind you of your duty to serve him truthfully, reform your ways, don’t only celebrate and forget, once the season is over ”, he admonished.

Speaking on security, he said festive seasons were times people took absolute advantage to rob others of their hard-earned property.

He cautioned all to be moderate in their celebration and avoid putting their lives in danger.

“This is something we have to do for ourselves, we preach against robbery and still protect ourselves from it, let’s be conscious of our security” he added.

He wished all a Merry Christmas filled with love and a glorious new year filled with goodness, joy, prosperity, and riches.
