Serve God, country with diligence

Accra, Nov 22, GNA – Newly admitted students of the Ultimate Ministerial Academy, a charismatic institution of higher learning, have been urged to serve God and the country with discipline, devotion, diligence, and dedication.

Dr Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh, President of the Academy, said that was the only way they could become approved workmen and women that would feed the flock of God while performing their civic responsibilities towards their nation.

Dr Prempeh said this at the matriculation ceremony of 38 students, including international students from the United States of America (USA) Togo, Tanzania, and Italy in Accra, who have been enrolled to pursue courses in prophecy, and Christian ministry.

The training, both in-person and online, was to equip the students with the requisite Biblical knowledge that would make them unique in the world of ecclesiastical academia.

Speaking at the short ceremony, the President of the Academy asked the students to “always remember that, as men and women of God, you also have certain civic responsibilities in your respective nations.”

He told them that “in fulfilling your duties, let no one despise you because you are youthful; but rather be an example to the believers in passion, in prudence, in patience, and in purity.”

“…Know that what you gain here will depend on your sense of purpose, sense of pursuit, sense of perseverance, and sense of prudence. If only you will avail yourselves to God, and to the instructors, you will become an approved workman, who will diligently feed the flock of God,” he added.

“Bear in mind that you are not here just to add up to the teaming number of ministers in the vineyard, but to fulfill a specific mandate,” Dr Prempeh told the matriculants.

Reverend Dr John Ghartey, Rector of the Academy, said the Institution had created an environment that would make the ministers understand their area of calling and receive specialised ministerial training to enable them function strategically.
