Reports: Nationwide lockdown imminent in Austria

Vienna, Nov. 19, (dpa/GNA) – Austria is facing another nationwide lockdown, according to several local media reports.

The government has agreed with the nine federal states to impose another lockdown to curb the fourth wave of the pandemic, the reports said.

The restrictions are to apply for 10 days initially, according to the Kronen Zeitung newspaper.

The country is suffering from a severe fourth wave, with the seven-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants at 1,000, according to the most recent available data.
