Nana Akosua Addo is 2021 Miss Galaxy Ghana

Accra, Nov. 19, GNA – Stephanie Nana Akosua Addo, a 20-year-old entrepreneur and sanitation ambassador has won the sixth edition of Ghana’s premier environmental – focus advocacy pageant, Miss Galaxy Ghana, representing the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency.

She saw off competition from eight other sanitation ambassadors who made it to the finale held at the plush AH Hotel, East Legon, to achieve this meritorious feat.

Josephine Adaletey Akpene, a 22-year-old Professional Make-up Artist who represented Kpando Constituency was the first runner-up of the pageantry.

Manessa Adwoa Sarpomaa Takyi, a 19-year-old level 200 student at the University of Ghana, Accra City Campus and a Professional Model, who represented the La Dadekotopon Constituency was the second came runner-up.

The fourth and fifth runner-up positions went to Gloria Ajutie (Bawku Constituency) and Yahaya Sungnuma Humurata (Wa Central Constituency).

Speaking at the grand finale, Nanayaw Kwakye-Boadu, Chief Executive Officer of EduEnter Group Ghana, organizers of the pageant, urged Queens to be selfless and go the extra mile, by playing their part in the collective effort of Government, Organizations, and Citizenry to ensure the realization of a Clean Ghana within the shortest impossible time.

He urged all young ladies to believe in themselves and always stay positive, knowing that once there is a will, there is always a way and the world awaits to celebrate their wins.

Mr. Daniel Obeng Ohene, Corporate Affairs Manager at Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a partner of the pageantry in his address highlighted their pride to be associated with the Miss Galaxy Ghana brand.

He affirmed their commitment to work with the winners to achieve the strategic goal of distributing over one million bins Nationwide to ensure our surroundings are kept clean.

He further intimated that the waste bins would promote good health, promote tourism, generate revenue, create employment and instill attitudinal change amongst citizens.

The other individual awardees on the night include Stephanie Addo (Miss Environment Ghana), Sungnuma Humurata (Miss Sanitation Ghana), (Adelle Akpene) Miss Clean Ghana Ambassador), Gloria Ajutie (Miss Personal Hygiene Ambassador) Menesaa Takyi (Miss Healthy Living Ambassador).

The event had the support of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources who were represented by Madam Charlotte Marfo, Programmes Manager at the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area Sanitation and Water Resources.
