Dambai (O/R), Nov 20, GNA- Mr Alhaji Abubakari Inusah, the Oti Regional Coordinating Director, has advised Human Resource Managers to mobilise the workers to ensure rapid socio-economic development of the Region.
He said the role of the Human Resource Manager in the Local Government Service (LGS) could not be overemphasized.
He said the Human Resource management was an integral part of the service and a full department in the assembly structure.
He said the entire workforce looked up to the Human Resource Managers for punctuality to work and discipline at the workplace.
Mr Inusah urged the Human Resource Managers to lead by example in eschewing all forms of laziness, absenteeism, lateness, drunkenness and other counterproductive behaviours in the discharge of their duties in the respective assemblies.
Mr Cyril Xatse, Volta Regional Human Resource Manager, in an address read for him, said the Volta Region chapter of the Human Resource Managers Association wished the Oti chapter well in its endeavours.
He said the Volta Region chapter was always available to provide the necessary assistance to the newly created region.
He said the spirit of the Association and unionism afforded members to negotiate for more favourable working conditions and benefits through collective bargaining and ” fight” unfair dismissals and discriminations.
The participants were taken through the signing of performance contracts, broad discussions and sharing of experience regarding their profession.
