Accra, Nov. 5, GNA – Mr Marlon Anipa, District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee for the newly created Guan District in the Oti Region, has been unanimously approved by the Assembly members.
He polled 18 “Yes” votes, representing 100 percent.
Mr Anipa said he was humbled by the endorsement and thanked the President for nominating him as the first DCE.
He said the calibre of Assembly members proved that the District had a bright future.
Mr Anipa said the Guan District was united and pledged to run an “open door policy” administration.
Mr Joshua Makubu, the Oti Regional Minister, noted the Guan District was one of the districts in the region that had most females elected as Assembly members.
He asked the male members to empower the females to bring development to the District.
Mr Makubu urged the Assembly members to call on him anytime they needed his help.
