Accra, Nov. 16, GNA – The Ghana Blind Goalball on Friday commenced camping at Cape Coast ahead of the 2021 International Blind Sports Federation African Goalball Championships.
Both the male and female teams assembled for the Championship fixed ted for Cape Coast from December 3-11.
The team is made up of six men and six women with eight technical officers accompanying the team.
The Ghana Blind Sports Association and IBSA would stage the IBSA Goalball African Championship that has previously been held in Algeria and Egypt.
Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Cameroon, Algeria, and Ivory Coast would join host Ghana for the competition that serves as qualifiers to the IBSA world Goalball championship to be held in China next year.
Herewith is the list of players who have reported for the camping;
Women: Rebecca Amponsah, Nina Okoarafor Efedi, Catherine Adjeley Nonome, Beauty Fiator, Mary Mensah, and Paulina Adjei Afongnuo.
Men: Atsu Joseph Amelorhu, Agetiba Ebenezer, Henry Dougan, Arthur John, Azumah A A Luqman, and Amoberi Meshach.
Technical team: Benedict Ntreh, Ebenezer Mati Omaboe
Eric Aloko, Dominic Appiah-kissi, Eric Kissi, David Tweneboah Kodua, Francis Adu and Philip Otuo.
