Ghanaians to witness first National Outspoken Award

Tema, Nov. 22, GNA – All set for the first-ever awards ceremony dubbed the “National Outspoken Awards Night” Ms. Antionette Emefa Lokko, Secretary, McAnn Company organisers of the event has disclosed to the GNA in Tema.

The awards ceremony slated for December 11th, 2021, at the Hi Table Sky bar, Madina in Accra is purposely designed to celebrate personalities in the communication industry.

Speaking in an interview with the GNA in Tema, Ms, Lokko said the reason behind the award scheme was to motivate the youths who are not just sitting at home waiting for white-collar employment and calling themselves unemployed graduates but rather venture into entrepreneurship in various ways.

“It is for those who are confident and outspoken and doing good works in the communication industry,” she added.

Ms. Lokko encouraged young people to always challenge themselves to go the extra mile to get their dreams achieved and not concentrate their efforts on getting white-collar jobs but think outside the box to do things for themselves rather than waiting on someone to employ them.

“Youths of today no longer want to go into entrepreneurship because they feel a university graduate should not be seen selling or doing all manner of jobs, thinking those jobs are for people who did not attend school,” she said.

She explained that the programme would host celebrities including Vicky Zugah, a popular Ghanaian actress, Beverly Afaglo also an actress, Empress Gifty, a gospel musician, Cynthia Tima Yeboah, a show host, and other special guests.
