Ellembelle MP donates food items to BECE candidates

Aiyinasi (W/R), Nov. 14, GNA – The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emnanuel Armah-Kofi Buah in collaboration with the Ellembelle Food Bank, has presented assorted food items to 87 BECE candidates from six Junior High Schools(JHS) in the Northern part of Aiyinasi.

The gesture, formed part of measures to assist the candidates in their feeding as they begin the week-long nation-wide BECE which commences on Monday 15 November, 2021.

The schools are Aidoo-Suazo,Kutu-Krom,Ewereko,Amonokrom,Dadwen and Asomase Junior High Schools.

The food items were two bags of 50kg of rice, two gallons of cooking oil, one box of mackerel sardines, one box of tinned tomato, and 30 bags of pure water.

Presenting the items at a meeting with the BECE candidates and their teachers at Aiyinasi, Mr Kofi Buah said the candidates were dear to his heart as they formed the cream of professionals to administer affairs of the District and the nation as a whole.

He advised the candidates to be composed and not panic but be confident to write what the teachers have taught them.

Mr Kofi Buah underscored the importance of good quality education delivery to the rapid socio-economic development of the country.

The MP advised the candidates not to allow anything to distract their attention but be more focused to emerge victorious in the examinations.

The headteacher of Asomasi JHS, Mr Francis Aboagye who received the food items on behalf of the schools, thanked the MP for the gesture.

The Circuit Supervisor of the area, Mr Alex Tarpeh said plans were far advanced for the examination to be conducted smoothly.
