Police commend citizens for cooperation during emergency ECOWAS Summit

Accra, Sept. 17, GNA — The Police Administration has commended the public for compliance and cooperation following the temporary closure of some major roads in Accra for the extraordinary meeting of West African Heads of State.

It said although the announcement for the road closures came at a short notice, the Police received maximum cooperation from the public during and after the traffic diversions.

A statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kwesi Ofori, the Acting Director-General, Public Affairs, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, apologised for the inconvenience caused.
