Accra, July 22, GNA – The entire playing body and team officials of AshantiGold SC and Inter Allies who featured in match-day 34 of Ghana Premier League have been placed under investigation.
According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), following the review of the match video, match reports, and information received by the GFA so far, the 47 members of both teams have been summoned for investigation.
This comes after Inter Allies defender, Hashmin Musah admitted he deliberately scored two own-goals on in the final round of the GPL when they played guest to Ashgold on Saturday, July 17 in Obuasi to ‘spoil’ an alleged fixed match.
According to the GFA, the General Public and all Stakeholders are to note that until investigations are over, the Association will not approve the issuance of any International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and Introductory letter to any Embassy for visas for any of the persons under investigation.
The players and officials of AshantiGold SC are Mohammed Bailou, Stephen Owusu Banahene, Dacosta Ampem, Amos Addai, Frank Akoto, Agyemang Isaac Opoku, Amos Kofi Nkrumah, Eric Esso, Owusu Emmanuel, Samed Mohammed, Seth Osei, Moses Kwame, Solomon Afriyie, Emmanuel Bonsu, Brokelyn Kusi Gordon, Paul De Vries Asare, Stephen Nyarko, and Kofi Mensah.
The Officials of AshantiGold SC are, Potakey Victor, Osman Abdulai, Sarfo Isaac Kofi, Nana Kwasi Darlyn, Duah Thomas, Aidoo Gee Ahmed, and Lartey Peter
Players of Inter Allies are Danso Wiredu Mensah, Richmond Lamptey, Alex Aso, Fard Ibrahim, Mohammed Zakari, Abdul Kadir Mohammed, Isah Ali, Richard Acquaah, Kingsley Fidelis Kuku, SundaY Henry Kalu, Andy Okpe, Gideon Ahenkorah, Hashmin Musah, Shaibu Taufiq, Felix Abuska, Gockel Ahortor.
The team officials are Adjetey Ruben, Boateng Kelvin Prince, Boye Joseph Markwei, Gideon Gyamfi and Aboagye Felix.
The GFA urged other members of the public, the media, players, and technical team members to also send any evidence or information whatsoever connected to the match (a statement, video, audio, etc) to assist the investigations through the GFA integrity Hotline and email.
