Phar Rangers FC rescinds decision to quit all GFA’s competitions

Accra, June 9, GNA – Division One League Club, Phar Rangers have rescinded its decision to withdraw from all Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) competitions.

The club on Monday, June 7, 2021, sent a statement to the Ghana football governing body to quit all its competitions including the MTN FA Cup, however, made a u-turn to continue with the various ongoing leagues in Ghana.

A Statement signed by Mr. Hamid Saaka, the Administrator and Operations Manager said “Upon several stakeholder engagements and calls for us to reconsider our position in the public interest, we hereby rescind our earlier decision.

“We are aware of the repercussions to the other clubs and the league as a whole. These and other factors have resulted in the need to rescind the decision in the interest of Ghana football as a whole.

“We thank GHALCA especially, and all those who intervened in diverse ways and took time to address our challenges,” it added.

Phar Rangers are 13th on the Division One League Zone three log with 27 points after 23 matches and have qualified to the MTN round 32, after beating Dreams FC 4-2 on penalties.
