Muslims urged to impact society with ethical and spiritual values

Takoradi, May 14, GNA – Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, has urged the Muslim community to continue the cordial existence with other religious faiths.

They are also to impact societies with the ethical and spiritual values and principles that characterised the period of Ramadan to inure to the growth of the Western Region.

The Western Regional Minister said this when he joined the Imams and some respected Muslim brethren of Takoradi and Sekondi Central Mosques to pray with them respectively on the occasion of Eid celebration.

In each of the mosques, he offered the Eid prayers to Allah for a successful fast, prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection against COVID-19 and wisdom for the governance and development of the Western Region and Ghana.

The season is not only characterised in terms of Eid prayers but also festive meals, gift-giving and charity.
