Accra, May 28, GNA – Karela United were held to a 1-1 draw by Accra Great Olympics in a match-week 27 encounter played at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park in Aiyinase.
Diawise Taylor added to his tally 16 for the season from the penalty spot in the fifth minute while Samuel Abbey Quaye leveled it up on the stroke of halftime with a sublime strike.

The home side started the game on the front foot as expected and some lackadaisical defending by Ebenezer Sekyere gifted the home side a penalty of which Taylor stepped up and struck the ball past Benjamin Asare from 12 yards.
The game was very enticing to watch for the neutral with both sides playing some good football on a fast-moving turf which made control difficult for some players.

The game in the second half was very tight with both sides looking to get the goal that could secure them all three points.
The home side did have a few chances to take the lead but Great Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare did produced some stunning saves.
