MP educates constituents on COVID-19 safety measures

Amasaman (G/A), April 9, GNA – Mr Akwasi Afrifa Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Amasaman, has urged the public to continue to observe the COVID-19 safety protocols to complement government’s effort in curbing the spread of the disease.

He commended the government for doing well to get the COVID-19 vaccine into the country to prevent the spread of the virus and called on Ghanaians to support the move by adhering to the wearing of the facemask, washing of hands, use of hand sanitizer and the observation of the social distancing.

Mr Mensah gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region after educating the public to take the preventive measures on the pandemic seriously.

He said the deadly disease has no respect for anyone and therefore people should not lose their guard against it.

The MP, during his education exercise visited places like the Amasaman Hospital, the offices of the Amasaman Municipal Assembly, the Ghana Education Service and some other institutions in the Municipality.

He gave the assurance that the government would continue to provide equipment to assist in the fight against the disease in the area.
