Oda (E/R), April 05, GNA – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at its 191st Annual General Conference which coincided with this year’s Easter celebration, has urged Christians to show a sense of humility, moral standards and heart of forgiveness.
In a speech, Elder Jeffrey R. Hollan a member of Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, Christians needed to be humble, fair and show high moral standards to fulfil the atonement of Jesus Christ.
He noted that with the heart of forgiveness, Jesus understood unfairness of every individual and was able to resolve their problems.
Easter is a Christian festival, a commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Speaking during a virtual broadcast conference, President Russel M. Nelson, 17th Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, called on Christians to show faith, saying, “faith in God can make it possible for society to live without contentions”.
He advised members and the public to observe the precautionary measures of COVID-19 pandemic and also practise faith to curb the disease.
The Church was founded by Prophet Joseph Smith on April 06, 1830 in New York.
It considers itself to be the restoration of the original church founded by Jesus Christ.
