Methodist Rafiki Satellite Village received boost from J. C. Quaye Assembly in Winneba

Winneba (C/R), Feb, 18, GNA – The J. C. Quaye Assembly of the Church of Pentecost in Winneba Area, has donated assorted commodities to the Management of the Methodist Rafiki Satellite Village in Gyahadze a community in Effutu Municipality.

The Village is an orphanage managed by the Methodist Church.

The Items included toiletries, soaps and detergents, bags of rice, cooking oil, diapers, soft drinks, biscuits, bags of sachet water and clothing.

Pastor Kofi Boateng, in-charge of Low-cost District of the Church, who made the presentation, stated that the gesture by the church is in fulfillment of the Church of Pentecost social responsibility.

He called on Ghanaians and particularly believers not to neglect orphans, widows and the needy, but rather make good use of every opportunity to support them for them.

Deputy Superintendent of Prisons, Alexander Otu Bekoe, the Presiding Elder of the Assembly, said with COVID-19 it was very likely for people to forget the vulnerable and the needy, but however noted that this was the time to show genuine love.

Madam Joyce Der Forson, Social Relations Officer of the Village received the items on behalf of Rev. Nana Kobina Abeka, Director of the Village, thanked the leadership of the church for the gesture asked for prayers for the Village to carry out its duties effectively.
