Accra, Feb. 17, GNA – The National Chapters Committee (NCC) – supporter’s wing of Accra Hearts of Oak has submitted a four-point petition to the Board of Directors of the club for immediate implementation.
At a press conference on Wednesday at the Secretariat of the Club, Mr. Elvis Herman Hesse Chairman of the NCC said the time was right for the Board of Directors of the club to offer answers to the supporters over the present condition of Hearts.
“We have come to a situation where we believe the time is right for the Board of Directors of the Club to offer answers at this crucial moment the club finds itself.
“We are of the view that our dear club has had its fortunes sunk both on and off the field of play, hence our demands,” he stated.
Mr. Hesse said the NCC was demanding for immediate reconstitution of the Club’s Board of Directors, to accommodate all stakeholders both on the majority and minority side.
“Holding an Annual General Meeting of the Club is long overdue and we are asking for an emergency meeting with the majority, minority shareholders, and other key organs of the club to find a lasting solution to the current crisis of the club,” he added.
Mr. Hesse said, the NCC also wants an immediate appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the club and a competent first-team local coach for the club adding that it must be done in consultation with all stakeholders of the Club to energize their support base.
“It is our utmost belief that the club can return to its glorious days if these demands are met by the Board of Directors,” he stated.
