Accra, Feb. 18 GNA – The Appointment Committee of Parliament would continue its sitting to consider two more of President Akufo-Addo’s nominees for ministerial roles.
Mrs Mavis Hawa Koomson and Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Ministers Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Information respectively are expected to appear before the Committee for vetting.
The two nominees who have been re-nominated by the President held ministerial appointments in his first term in office.
The first nominee to appear before the committee would be Mrs Koomson, former Minister for Special Development Initiative and Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East.
The nominee was moved to the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture and is expected to answer questions from his previous ministry as well as fisheries and aquaculture sector.
Also, Mr Oppong Nkrumah who was the former Minister for Information in the first term of President Akufo-Addo’s administration was re-nominated for the same ministerial portfolio.
The nominee who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoase-Ayirebi is expected to answer questions relating to his ministry and various agencies under the ministry.
