Penyi (VR), Jan. 27, GNA – Torgbui Dadzi V, has been enstooled in accordance with customs and traditions of the Anlo State as the New Paramount Chief of Penyi.
He was enstooled together with his Queenmother Mama Hoeflewo Dadzi II, during a colourful traditional ceremony at Penyi in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region.
The enstoolment of the new Paramount Chief brought joy and optimism to the people of Penyi.
Some indigenes disclosed that the traditional area was without a paramountcy after the demise of Torgbuiga Dadzi IV in 1986.
Some elders said they anticipated for this installation long ago so that their developmental needs would see the light of day.
Torgbui Dadzi in his speech, confirmed the departure of his predecessor had created a huge vacuum in the leadership of the Traditional Area.
“The traditional area existed like a flock without a shepherd and the administrative gap had negatively affected the progress and development of the area,” he said.
He however commended the selfless and dynamic efforts of some well-meaning citizens both home and abroad towards the growth of the area.
Notable among the key development actors in the area he mentioned include, his Divisional Chiefs, Sub Chiefs and Mr. John Kwakuvi Hounlessodji, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infinity Den Enterprise and Infinity Stars Hotel at Dzodze Penyi.
Torgbui Dadzi further gave assurance in sustaining good ties with the Anlo Traditional Council, the Penyi Area Council, the Ketu North Municipal Assembly and the government for the growth of humanity.
Born on October 20, 1971 at Penyi- Yorkoe, Togbui Dadzi had his Primary Education at Anglican Primary School from 1977 to 1983 before moving to Penyi Local Authority Middle School from 1983 to 1987.
He further attended Dzodze Penyi Senior High School for his ‘O’ level Certificate from 1987 to 1992.
Togbui Dadzi had his Teacher Training Education at the Akatsi College of Education between 1992 to 1995 before pursuing further studies at the University of Education, Winneba, after which he graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Agriculture ( B.ED Agric.)
Until his enstoolment, he was a teacher, having held several leadership positions both in the private and public sectors.
His Queenmother, Mama Hoeflewo II, also worked for 13 years in the Electricity of Ghana as a District Commercial Officer in the Cape Coast District, Central region before her resignation.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in Business Administration.
