GPL Week 9: Karela reclaim top spot, Kotoko hold WAFA

Accra, Jan. 17, GNA – Karela United reclaimed top spot in the ongoing Ghana Premier League (GPL) after thrashing Berekum Chelsea 4-1 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium.

This means Karela United would be on top of the league with 17 points after AshantiGold and Bechem United dropped points at home in their respective matches.

King Faisal secured a point at home against Elmina Sharks to move them bottom of the league with Legon Cities now bottom of the league after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park.

Ebusua Dwarfs recorded their third win of the season after they stunned Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park on Saturday.

Great Olympics ended their two-match winless streak after beating Inter Allies 2-0 in the first match of week nine played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
