Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/R), Dec. 14, GNA – Coach Ignatius Osei Fosu, Head Coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders has blamed the media for the low attention from the public saying “their current impressive form dates back to the previous season that was truncated.
“We were in the best of forms even in the previous season but the media refused to give us the needed attention.
“Our form dates back to last season as we started showing strong signals after five matches in the league. So clearly we have been a team that’s on the ascendancy but we have not gotten the media attention we deserve,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“This time we have set a high standard for ourselves and that has also affected us positively. So every team seems well prepared to face us. I think we have set a high standard for ourselves and that is what is pushing us on,” he added.
According to the Coach, his team has a positive playing attitude when attacking and defending adding that they were always tactically disciplined.
“But football cannot be played without errors. The only thing we seek to do is to limit our mistakes. I think we gave a bad goal away. We would work on it. It’s part of the game. They say that if you don’t make mistakes you are stagnant. Apart from that I never saw Aduana scoring a goal,” he said.
On whether delay tactics employed by Aduana Stars affected them he said, “I don’t like delays.
“For players when fatigue sets in, clearly, you want to delay but, but it hasn’t been my approach because I believe at every second we can win the game.
That’s why I substituted a midfielder for a striker because I wanted to get a win,” the coach added.
On whether the 1-1 draw results was a point gain or loss for his team, he said “We are content with the results against the backdrop that they had suffered a defeat right at their backyard in Techiman when playing against WAFA in their last game”.
