Tamale, Nov 20, GNA – Samuel Addison Gospel Outreach Ministry (SAGOM) has presented assorted food items to the Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale, and the Female Unit of the Tamale Central Prisons to support the upkeep of the children and the inmates respectively.
The items donated to the Nhohini Children’s Home included bags of rice, bags of beans, bags of gari, some quantities of sugar, gallons of cooking oil, crates of eggs, bathing soaps, toothbrushes among other assorted items.
The Female Unit of the Tamale Central Prisons also received bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, assorted drinks, cartons of sardines, and some quantities of detergent among other packages.
The gesture formed part of the SAGOM’s three-day religious activities dubbed: “Prophetic Invasion”, which ended in Tamale on Friday.
Prophet Samuel Addison of SAGOM, who presented the items to authorities of the two institutions in Tamale, said it was part of his Ministry’s mandate to touch lives, and adding that, it was important for them to put smiles on the faces of beneficiaries.
He said “We came here not only to preach but to also touch lives of the less privileged because the gospel is about making people happy in society.”
Madam Janet Anso Boahemaa, Caretaker of the Nyohini Children’s Home, who received the items on behalf the Home, expressed gratitude to SAGOM for the intervention saying the items came at a time when they were needed most.
She appealed to other corporate bodies to support the home to help improve on the well-being of the children.
