Accra, Aug. 3, GNA — The Hope Generation Ministry International has called on the youth to tap into the knowledge of the elderly instead of branding them as witches and wizards.
Prophet Dr Eric Nana Kwasi Amponsah, the General Overseer of the church, said the elderly were full of wisdom with wealth of experiences, which when tapped into, would inure to the growth and development of the people.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, he condemned the gruesome murder of the 90-year old Akua Denteh at Kafaba, near Salaga in the Gonja District.
He said the blood of the innocent old woman would forever be on the hands of the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
Prophet Amponsah, therefore, called on the law enforcement agencies to investigate the crime and punish those involved to serve as a deterrent to others.
“The barbaric and condemnable act perpetuated on the woman has no place in this modern civilised country of ours,” he said.
“People should rather unite to fight challenges such as diseases, poverty and squalor that is confronting the nation. I’m appalled by such a condemnable act’’.
