Ho, July 02, GNA – Unemployed graduates in Ho would soon benefit from a free web development-training programme organised by the Ghana Tech Lab’s Ho Node Hub.
The programme, funded by MasterCard Foundation’s Young Africa Works, and the World Bank, which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications, would offer 16 weeks of intensive web skills training and incubation, to help launch strong careers in the tech industry.
Mr. Courage Asase, Operations Manager of the Hub, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that as the digital system conquered domains, there existed the need to build up more IT-skilled human resources.
He said the programme would tackle youth unemployment, and would take in more females to help bridge the gaping gender gap in human development.
The Manager said successful trainees would benefit from incubation or paid internship, to help boost the pace of digital transformation in the Region, which he lamented, remained low.
Eligible applicants must be unemployed and a graduate, and must apply via http://application.ghanatechlab.com, latest by July 03, 2020.
The Ho Node Hub is a digital skills training and tech innovation support center, which works with a wide spread of stakeholders to offer digital skills training for students, startups, and small to medium scale enterprises.
It had recently completed an ecosystem report on the Municipality to serve as a precise guide to investment.
