Police arrest two suspects over High Commission’s structure demolition

Accra June 24, GNA – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons over their alleged involvement in the destruction of a building on the premises of the Nigerian High Commission.

A press statement issued and signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ms. Juliana Obeng, Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the CID, said the pair were apprehended on Monday, June 22.

Their names were not given but they are said to have been with conspiracy to commit crime, unlawful entry and causing unlawful damage.

The statement said the suspects would soon be arraigned to answer for their wrongdoing.

“The CID administration urges the public to remain calm and continue to assist by furnishing the Police with timely and factual information”, it added.
