NPP youth in Tafi Mador undertake clean up exercise in schools

Tafi (V/R), June 23, GNA – About 100 New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth of Tafi Mador in the Afadzato District of the Volta region have undertaken cleanup exercises on school compounds in the community ahead of the reopening of final year students.

The exercise, which lasted for three hours saw the youth desilting choked gutters, clearing the compounds of weeds and also collecting solid and liquid waste to disposal points.

Mr. Gideon Gborgblor, NPP Deputy Youth Organizer of Afadzato South said the exercise formed part of the Party youth’s initiative to support schools by keeping the environment tidy and safe ahead of the resumption for academic activities.

He said the exercise would become a regular event while calling on the youth in the community to avail themselves for such exercises as part of their contributions to the development of the community.

Mr. Gborgblor commended the NPP youth for the commitment to community development and called on members of the community to come out in their numbers and register for the new voter identity cards.

Mr. Etornam James Flolu, Afadzato South District Chief Executive (DCE) supported the clean-up exercise with over 100 nose masks and assorted drinks.

Present were Mr. Vulley Henry Caius, Assemblyman for the area, polling station executives, electoral area coordinator, and party patrons.
