Accra, June 29, GNA – Final year students in Junior High Schools (SHSs) returned to school on Monday to adequately prepare for their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The schools re-opened after a three-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of their preparation for the BECE, the students would spend eleven weeks in school to prepare.
The re-opening is in line with the Presidential Directive that all JHSs in the country should resume from June 29th for their final year as part of the gradual easing of the COVID-19 restrictions.
In the past two weeks, tertiary institutions and the Senior High Schools (SHSs) also reopened for the final year students to prepare for their examinations.
