Afigya-Kwabre South NPP chairman commends delegates

Kodie, (Ash), June 23, GNA – Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, Afigya-Kwabre South Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, has commended party members for their continued support and cooperation which had ensured peace and unity in the party.

He said through understanding and cooperation especially by the delegates, the constituency had become one of the most peaceful in the Ashanti region.

Addressing the constituency delegates after endorsing the candidature of Mr William Owuraku Aidoo, as the party’s parliamentary candidate at Kodie, Odeneho Appiah, praised the executives of the party at all levels in the constituency, for exhibiting leadership and maturity throughout the processes.

Mr Owuarku Aidoo stood unopposed and he was overwhelmingly acclaimed at a peaceful ceremony at the party’s headquarters at Kodie in the Afigya-Kwabre South District on Saturday.

Odeneho Appiah stressed the need for hard work and dedication by all, saying the party would always reward those who showed commitment, had work and dedication to the course of the party.

He pointed out that people who were interested in positions in the party should prepare to dedicate and sacrifice themselves to serve the party.

Odeneho Appiah said the constituency leadership would not allow people who had not worked and served the party at the constituency level, to take up positions in the party.

He stressed the need for polling station executives and coordinators to intensify their door-to-door campaigns to win more souls for the party in the upcoming general elections.

Owuraku Aidoo thanked the party members for their unflinching support over the years and said the trust imposed on him was a clear demonstration of the delegates’ resolve to work together to retain the seat for the party.

He praised the constituency chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah for his sterling leadership which had helped bind all the members together to chart the cause of peace, unity, and development in freedom, in the constituency.
